Configure IN / OUT direction correctly
Configure Hikvision Forward and Reverse ANPR event linkage so Ruby ANPR receives both IN and OUT vehicle movements.
Ruby ANPR maps Hikvision direction values into a simple operational view:
forward → IN
reverse / backward → OUT
If you only see one direction
Check the Hikvision Road Traffic / Arming Schedule and Linkage Method configuration. The event linkage needs to be configured for both Forward and Reverse if the site expects both directions.
Also check the physical setup
Direction metadata depends on the camera's lane geometry, detection line and physical view. A correct server configuration cannot compensate for a camera that is aimed or zoomed incorrectly.
Once both directions are enabled, Ruby ANPR will present the events as clear IN and OUT movements on the dashboard and in exports.
