The application and capture data live on your server
Ruby ANPR is installed on a compatible PHP/MySQL web server. Compatible Hikvision ANPR cameras send events directly to the Ruby ANPR ingest endpoint, and authorised users access the monitoring portal through a browser.
You are not buying a provider-managed cloud camera estate. You are buying the Ruby ANPR software layer and operating it on infrastructure you control.

Camera → your Ruby ANPR server
The Hikvision camera sends the ANPR event to your configured endpoint. Ruby ANPR stores the registration, timestamp, camera, direction, confidence and supplied images in your installation.
The recommended production setup uses HTTPS on port 443.
