Talk to Ruby ANPR →A matching OUT event closes a non-exempt session. Ruby ANPR calculates the duration against the allowance and grace recorded when the session opened. A vehicle still parked beyond that threshold is shown separately as currently over limit.
The allowed time, grace and exemption state are recorded when a session opens. Later configuration changes do not overwrite those recorded values.
Active plate-based permits can provide exemptions, with optional validity dates. With low-confidence review enabled, uncertain reads can be approved, corrected or rejected by an Admin before they affect parking activity. Watchlist labels are separate from exemptions.
An open visit is not treated as a confirmed completed overstay. A configurable timeout can mark stale open sessions incomplete for separate handling. Reliable captures and correct IN / OUT directions are important.
Confirmed overstay cases support a parking evidence PDF and an evidence ZIP with available entry/exit images and a SHA-256 manifest. A summary PDF is included if the full evidence PDF is unavailable. Case status and operator notes support review.
