Ruby ANPR needs a compatible Hikvision ANPR model that can push vehicleDetection events to an Alarm Server endpoint. Check the exact model, suffix and firmware on the compatibility page; a standard CCTV camera is not sufficient.
Does Ruby ANPR perform the plate recognition?
The compatible Hikvision ANPR camera detects the vehicle and reads the registration. Ruby ANPR receives its events and makes the captures, available images and parking workflow accessible in a browser.
Is Ruby ANPR an official Hikvision product?
No. Ruby ANPR is independent software by Ruby Systems for compatible Hikvision ANPR cameras. Hikvision is a trademark of its respective owner. No official endorsement, affiliation or partnership is implied.
What hosting do I need?
Use compatible PHP and MySQL / MariaDB hosting with a dedicated HTTPS hostname. Review the current server requirements and camera setup guide before buying.
Can I use it without parking management?
Yes. Parking Management is included in Build V3.0.0 but optional, so you can use Ruby ANPR for searchable vehicle monitoring and camera health while leaving parking disabled.
